In-Season Dominance

A plan for the full season

In August you chase everything. In November you are coming off at 60 minutes and you have no idea when that happened.

What happens over a season

Nobody loses their form
in a single weekend

You lose it in pieces. Matchday by matchday, over three months, until by November you are playing at 60% of what you had in August — and it just looks like you “started the season badly”.

  • 01Club training is built for the team. One coach, twenty players, one session. Your weak points are not his priority, and they cannot be.
  • 02Nobody trains strength in season. Because “there is no time” and “not before a match”. The result: four months without lifting anything heavier than yourself, and your power disappears.
  • 03You train on instinct, or not at all. Gym on Monday, then nothing for two weeks, then something heavy the day before a match, and come Sunday your legs are jelly.
  • 04Something is always tight. Hamstrings, adductors, ankle. You are out for two weeks, you come back, you have lost your place in the side.

What is inside

A plan built
around your match

I am not piling extra training on top of you. I am putting what you already do into an order that makes sense, and slotting in two short sessions where they do not clash with your club.

01

The week around your match

A Monday to Sunday schedule that adapts to when you play. Separate versions for a Saturday match, a Sunday match, and two matches in one week.

02

Two sessions, 25–35 minutes

Strength and power, slotted into your free days. Never heavy legs within 48 hours of a match. A gym version and a no-equipment version.

03

Injury prevention

Six minutes after club training. Hamstrings, adductors, ankle — the three things that put footballers on the sidelines most often.

04

Readiness test

One simple weekly measurement that tells you whether to go hard today or back off. No guessing, and no running yourself into the ground.

05

Match-day protocol

What you do in the 24 hours before, what your warm-up looks like, what you eat at half-time, and how the first 24 hours after the match should go.

06

Video for every exercise

A link next to every entry in the table. No guessing technique from a written description.

Before you click

Check whether this is for you

This is for you if

  • You play for a club and train 2–5 times a week
  • You want to get through the whole season in better shape
  • You are between 12 and 25
  • You have gym access, or the will to train with your bodyweight at home
  • Injuries are holding you back, or you want to stay ahead of them

This is not for you if

  • You do not play regularly for a club
  • You are after a mass-building or physique plan
  • You have a fresh injury — see a physio first
  • You do not plan to open the file more than once a month
  • You have made peace with your form dropping over the season anyway

Questions

The season has already started. Is there any point starting now?

Yes. The plan is split into blocks and you drop into the one that matches your fixture list. There is a table inside that tells you which week to start from.

I do not have a gym. Will it still work?

Yes. Every session has a no-equipment version — you just need a bit of space and the will to do it. The gym version is marked separately.

How much time does it take per week?

Two sessions of 25–35 minutes, plus six minutes of prevention work after club training. About an hour and fifteen minutes a week in total.

I am under 12 — can I do this?

The plan is written for players aged 12 and over. If you are younger, ask a parent or guardian to email me and I will tell you what makes sense at your stage.

How do I get the plan?

The PDF lands in your inbox straight after purchase. Open it on your phone or tablet, or print it out.

Can I combine this with club training?

That is exactly what it is built for. It assumes you have 2–5 club sessions and a match or two, and the sessions sit on your free days.

In-season

In three months
it will be November either way

The only question is what shape you will be in.
